Gaining international exposure is one of the many reasons for which students come to Haas and there are several opportunities at the school that facilitate this. This includes spending 2 years with a diverse student group from countries around the world, doing a semester exchange with a non-US school, running and attending conferences such as the Asia Business Conference , taking part in student led study trips and attending the popular International Business Development (IBD) program.
Someone who has taken full advantage of this great opportunity is a room-mate of mine who is originally from Vietnam. In his first year (and his first time in the US) he did a study trip to Brazil and will be undertaking another exciting trip to Japan over the spring break. He is also going to spend his summer working for a premier consulting firm based out of Sydney. To round off his global MBA experience he will be spending a semester of his second year at IESE Barcelona. If you were keeping track, that’s 2 exciting years at Haas spread across 5 continents!
